The visible side and edges are provided with a double coat of paint and environmentally friendly coating, the back side with a single coat of paint and an extra resin layer. In this way the slates receive the best possible protection against water absorption. Furthermore, they are lightweight, easy to handle and have a low susceptibility to breakage.
